Photograph of Peter hughesWhile studying for a psychology degree at university I experienced hypnosis and was excited by this phenomenon which I had presumed was purely a stage gimmick where unsuspecting public where forced to eat onions believing they were apples! I have subsequently trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis where hypnosis is taught purely as a clinical therapy and I am registered with the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

I am qualified in treating a wide range of conditions and symptoms but particularly in touch with city life and its related issues. I have worked in investment banking in the city for the past ten years and have seen the effects that stress and anxiety can have. Stress management through hypnosis can give you the calmness you need to face each day in a controlled and connected manner.

Additional stress caused by work presentations and interviews etc, can also be combatted through performance anxiety techniques in hypnosis allowing you to achieve your goals and succeed.

I know how difficult it is to fit the gym into a busy schedule but hypnosis can give you more control of your weight and the motivation you need to fulfill your exercise goals.

Even if you just want to knock five strokes from your golf game, hypnosis can give you the edge to approach the first tee with confidence.

Hypnosis is a completely safe procedure where you remain in control at all times, comparable to the day dreaming state which we all experience several times each day.

As a component of psychotherapy, hypnosis can remove the barriers presented by the conscious mind to communicate directly with the unconscious mind in order to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Having a phobia of spiders can be seen as irrational by the conscious mind as the spiders probably don't present a threat, this doesn't stop the unconscious make you panic and run a mile when you see a spider!

The direct communication available through hypnotherapy can open channels of communication and reasoning with the unconscious to resolve a number of issues which may even be having direct physical effects on you, tension headaches, skin conditions and Irritable bowel syndrome for examples.

Please call me to make an appointment or discuss any questions you may have about the procedure or whether hypnotherapy may be able to help you with the change you wish to make. Come and enjoy this wonderfully relaxing sensation and see the improvements you can make to your life.
