Christopher Morgan-Locke
is a highly respected therapist who can be seen in London (Harley
Street or Battersea Park), Weybridge,
Surrey and Alton, Hampshire. 
Specialist
areas
Christopher is
experienced in all areas of clinical hypnosis and trauma therapy
but works a great deal with addiction (alcohol, drugs and tobacco)
stress, child abuse, regression therapy and eating and behavioural
disorders. In recent years he has also worked with IVF, fertility
and child-loss issues.
Training &
work profile
Having started his career
working as a mental health worker in an NHS hospital he then worked
for the Metropolitan Police in London until 1980. In the Nineties
he went on to study drug and alcohol addiction and worked one day
a week at a drug and alcohol drop-in in Surrey. He also became a
Trustee of a drug and alcohol charity.
He then studied clinical
hypnosis and NLP at Birkbeck College, University of London on a
course run by the LCCH which is reputedly one of the best colleges
of its kind in the UK. The LCCH also trains psychiatrists and doctors.
He was awarded a distinction
for his diploma in medical hypnotherapy by the British Medical Hypnotherapy
Examination Board. The BMHEB consists of a board of psychiatrists
chaired by a professor of psychiatry, all who have trained in clinical
hypnosis.
He has also trained in
EMDR Trauma Therapy (EMDR Institute), Child-loss and termination
(cert. in pregnancy advice) and general counselling (NOC cert.)
and works a great deal in the areas of addiction, trauma (Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder) and with survivors of child abuse.
Christopher also runs
training courses for the Police, Social Services and Home Office
staff on the psychology of addiction and the psychology of sexual
abuse.
Christopher has a gentle,
caring non-judgemental approach that has led to an extremely high
success rate. As a result of this experience over 25 years he has
gained a substantial insight into human problems.
He is currently a Trustee
of a national charity, mainly funded by the Department of Health,
which offer help and advice to adult survivors of child abuse.
He is also an established
writer who has articles about health, stress, trauma, abuse, addiction
and other topics published regularly in various national magazines
and newspapers. He also broadcasts on radio and TV.
Confidentiality
and ethics
Christopher is bound
by the strict code of conduct and ethics of the British Association
for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Society
of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and holds BACP professional indemnity.
