I have over 20 years health care experience gained both within the NHS and in the private sector. I qualified as an RGN and then, following post graduate training, also qualified as an RMN. I spent a number of years working in various clinical roles within the NHS including the training of student nurses and also as an examiner for the General Nursing Council for England and Wales.
Combining my extensive clinical experience along with Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) allows me to provide my clients with a results focused approach for a wide range of conditions.
There is a tremendous difference in the styles and approaches of different therapists, fortunately as a member of the BSCH (British Society of Clinical Hypnosis) I am not tied to any one particular method. I use an ecletic approach keeping up to date with all the latest developments in both Hypnotherapy and NLP.
Where appropriate I use a combination of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP. For those of you familiar with broad therapy terms I go for a blend of behavioural and cognitive approaches only using more time consuming analytical methods where appropriate.
I believe in working as quickly and effectively as possible for my clients, rather than convincing them they will have to return week after week.
I support the principle of "Goal orientated therapy". In other words you state clearly at the outset what you would ideally like to achieve or change and that is what we work towards, rather than labouring over many weeks to uncover or re-live past traumas and blockages.
